4th November 2019 - ISCoS Psychosocial Special Interest Group Inaugural Preconference with ESPA, Nice, France

We were delighted to jointly host the inaugural ISCoS Psychosocial Preconference at the 58th ISCoS meeting and welcomed 33 delegates from 13 nations to Nice, France to hear about Living Well with SCI kindly sponsored by Stewarts, a UK based personal injury law firm specialising in spinal cord injury and trauma litigation.

Professor Ashley Craig provided a fabulous keynote on Improving Resilience following SCI, setting the scene for the meeting to think about the components that could help: effective inpatient pain management, self-efficacy and quality of life, with the afternoon focusing on Rehabilitation Interventions and Psychological Health screening.

Delegates were introduced to the International SCI Psychological Functioning Basic Data Set and the Inaugural Professor Paul Kennedy Legacy Scholarship for Psychology was launched with applications invited for ISCoS 2020.
