The Inaugural meeting of the Association was hosted by the Department of Clinical Psychology, National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital.  Welcoming 99 delegates from Romania, Australia, Czech Republic, Ireland, Poland, Denmark, Spain, Norway, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, and of course the UK. The first conference was a resounding success and it was planned to host a bi-annual event to share psychological clinical and research work and provide a networking forum in spinal cord injury.
